The hockey season is still ongoing for much of our school community, with the Irish teams building towards summer tournaments and the Leinster teams beginning their selection for next season's squads. Firstly, congratulations to our four Irish players who were recognised at a Jersey Presentation event by Hockey Ireland last night. Aliya Davis, Julie Potter Cogan and Millie Jerman have been part of the U18 team, while Aisling Meehan was part of the U16 team and last night was a lovely event to recognise this significant achievement. Best of luck to Millie and Aliya who travel to France tomorrow, to play the French in 3 matches in preparation for their tournament in Spain between the 10th and 17th of July, where they will take on Spain, Belgium and Scotland, plus crossover matches. We wish them all the best for the coming weeks.
We also have significant representation in the Leinster Hockey Summer Panels. Well done to all those who trialed, and best of luck to those who were named in the panels and will continue to train over the coming months, after which selection of the Interprovincial Squads will be made.
